Laughter yoga
Babies laugh long before they learn to speak. Laughter is beneficial to the immune system, lowers blood pressure, and can reduce pain. Laughter Yoga combines breathing exercises with laughter. Dr. Madan Kataria developed Laughter Yoga techniques, while writing a paper on laughter in 1995. Laughter Clubs are popping up all over the United States, with many of them being formed in California. Chanting Ho Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha often turns into real laughter, due to the group dynamics. To find a Laughter Club or to learn more about Laughter Yoga go to www.laughteryoga.org.
