American Crows

The American Crow is an intelligent bird with a good memory. Crows are very clever. Crows remember dangerous places and garbage routes. They know what day you put out your garbage. Trashcans with tight fitting lids will help keep your neighborhood clean and prevent crows from making a mess.

Crows are not bad for the garden. These big black birds eat insects, snails, rodents, and garbage. Large crows may be twenty-one inches tall and their wings may span one meter.

Crows are very social and protective of one another. They live in families or large groups. Crows will defend other crows. A group of crows is called a murder of crows.
